In October 2019, Apple released a new version of the Mac operating system, macOS 10.15 (Catalina).
How does this affect TDR?
After macOS 10.15 became available, WatchGuard released a new version of the TDR Host Sensor for Mac (5.8.2) that supports the new operating system.
Version 5.8.2 of the TDR Host Sensor for Mac can only be installed on Mac hosts that run macOS 10.13 (High Sierra) or higher.
WatchGuard no longer supports Host Sensors installed on Mac OS X 10.12 (Sierra) or lower.
What should I do?
To make sure that you can install version 5.8.2 of the TDR Host Sensor for Mac, you must upgrade your Mac hosts to macOS 10.12 (Sierra) or higher.
What happens if I don’t upgrade macOS?
If you install version 5.8.2 or higher of the Host Sensor for Mac on a host that runs Mac OS X 10.11 or lower, the installation or upgrade might fail or the Host Sensor might not operate correctly.
Older Host Sensors installed on a host that runs Mac OS X 10.11 or lower might continue to work, but are no longer supported by WatchGuard.
