 DNSWatch does not use configured DNS settings


After you configure your DNS settings for DNSWatch, we recommend you clear any cached DNS settings.

Windows Servers

You can clear cached DNS settings from the Windows command prompt with this command: DNScmd/ClearCache

You can also clear the cache with Windows PowerShell. Use this cmdlet from the dnsserver module: Clear-DNSServerCache

Windows Operating Systems

  1. Open the Windows command prompt as an Administrator.
  2. Type ipconfig/flushdns.

Apple Operating Systems

  1. Open the command terminal.
  2. Run the command sudo killall -HUP mDNSResponder.
